Obwald Latest

Hi all...Well summer is upon us here at FPU, the students have moved out, the pool is open and we are looking forward to our big move. At the end of May we will be moving from our 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. These are houses that the university has purchased as part of the expansion plan. As soon as they get enough of them and their ducks in a row they will tear them all down and build more dorms and such. In the meantime we get to live in one. Withe Jenna's arrival we have pushed the limits of our current accommodation. It's actually a bit hard to think of moving because this is the only place our kids have ever lived. All of them were brought home from the hospital to this apartment...I think I'll get over that real quick though. :) The university is gracious enough to paint and re carpet the house. So as that progresses we will keep you updated.

The latest on the kids:
Cohl--He is getting so big. He continues with going to gymnastics every Monday, he is registered for preschool at Westminster Christian Preschool for the fall, he will turn 4 this August, he loves to ride his bike (now with training wheels), he loves to play computer games like Curious George, Sesame Street, Cailou and Clifford, he still loves dinosaurs, and he is swimming like a champ. This summer we have already started at the pool and Cohl can touch the bottom with his whole head above water.

Kirra--She is as in love with pink as ever before. Kirra pedaled for the first time today on her tricycle. She is tons of fun. The tone that she puts in her sentences is just hilarious and adorable. She loves "her baby" (Jenna). She is a great big sister, but sometimes still a little rough. She loves to do everything Cohl does. We always hear her running after us saying, "Wait for me guys, I'm coming." Kirra is quite the little fish when it comes to the pool. We have already gone swimming at least 10 times and it's not always that warm. Sometimes it has been down-right freezing according to me. She just gets in there and swims. She jumps off the side, swims under water and kicks while in her little tube.

Jenna--At three and a half months Jenna is almost rolling over. She has obviously changed so much in the past few weeks. She is such a smiley girl and getting cuter all the time. She still seems to look a lot like Cohl but I do see Kirra in there every now and then. As you see in the previous picture she has started sucking on her fingers. Nothing too consistent yet but she get some part of her hand in her mouth each time. She loves to be all snuggled up when she sleeps. She has not braved the pool yet but as you can see she looks pretty cute in her suit.

Dave--David has completed his fourth school year as a RD at Fresno Pacific. Wow, how time flies! He is still enjoying it and sees at least one more year in his future, especially with the housing situation changing this summer. He has completed three semesters in his Master's program (Conflict and Peacemaking Studies). He will be taking two classes this summer and then do the fall semester before starting his thesis in the spring of 2008. If all goes as planned he will finish in December of 2008. He is doing a great job, learning a lot and is getting plenty of chances to put it into practice at work and here at home. David is also loving being an uncle. He has named himself Favorite Uncle Dave. This is Trinity. Lisa (David's sister) and her family are currently living in Pismo. We get so see the much more often which we all love. They recently moved here form Chicago.
Erin--I am staying afloat after this third baby. Wow...it sure knocked me for a loop. I definitely love having three kids but 3 in just under 3 1/2 years is quite a lot. Thank you to all who have helped with this transition. I am still enjoying staying home as long as we get out of the house and do stuff. The house transition is coming at just the right time for me. I have noticed how much clutter makes me crazy. We just have too much stuff and too many people for our space. So...moving on, I am just about to make my next promotion with Juice Plus. I will be a Senior Sales Coordinator at the close of the business month this May. I am very excited for the accomplishment as well as ready for a bit of a break to move and have a relaxing summer. I will be playing in the Alumni Soccer game for FPU this Saturday. I hope I can walk and move after that. I have been exercising a bit to avoid total body breakdown. We'll see. I may turn into water girl five minutes in. haha.

So in closing I just wanted to update you on our lives and I hope you all have a great Mother's Day and a great summer! --erin

Like Brother, Like Sister

I woke up this morning to Jenna sucking the same fingers that Cohl does. We'll see if it sticks.

Portland and Auntie Court

This is a cute little shop in downtown Portland called girlfriends.

Jenna and I went to visit my girlfriend Courtney in Portland in the middle of April. It was great fun and a relaxing time with great food and friends...don't forget all of the chick-flicks.

Court and little super traveler Jenna.
