Disneyland, Dec. 2007

We stayed in a hotel down the street from Disneyland. This is the kids sharing a bed for the first time and probably the first time that they remember staying at a hotel. We had a lot of fun!

And we're off! The Obwald kids first time to Disneyland.

Kirra and Pocahontus
Kirra and Cinderella
Kirra and Ariel
Our favorite ride. The Buzz Lightyear ride is like a huge video game. You each get a laser gun and you get points for shooting targets throughout the game. We all had fun and went on it twice.
I am trying to get more pictures of David and I. The kids weren't into pictures so I told the guys to take one of just us and that we'd smile even if they didn't want to.The castle was decorated so beautifully for "winter"

The castle at night. It was all lit up.

A Visit From Santa 2007

We enjoyed Christmas with ALL sides of the family this year. It took about two weeks to get to everyone. We had such a great time and are so blessed to have so many people to celebrate with. Here are a few pictures from Christmas at the Coit's. We had a special visit from Santa himself this year. My dad dressed up like Santa for a few events and one of them was this night.
Cohl knew right when my dad walked in the door that it was grandpa dressed like Santa. So I quickly wispered in his ear that he was to pretend so the littler kids could enjoy it!
Kirra was a TOTAL believer! She was so excited. She even asked as he was leaving if she could see go out and see the reindeer. What a doll.
She was listening to him ask her what she wanted for Christmas.
Jenna wasn't scared at all since this is what grandpa looked like for the last 6 months as he grew out his beard. All hairs are naturally grown.

This is my aunt (my dad's sister), my uncle and cousins. **Thanks guys for the pictures! Mine were lost in transmission somehow.

Mary Among Us

Kirra dressed up like Mary (the nativity Mary of course) for a day of make believe.

She came up with this all on her own. Sam and Marilyn took the kids, for the second year in a row, to their churches Birthday Party for Jesus. At that party was a very pregnant woman with her husband riding in on a donkey. So that made a big impression on Kirra seeing how she has dressed up like Mary for three days in a row now.

Yesterday she was playing Mary, yet again, and she had her baby doll playing Jesus rocking in her crib that Gpa Kay made her. Later in the day we were cleaning up the toys and sorting, a never ending event, and she found her small Bible. I went into her room after overhearing her wisper to the baby. In this picture she is reading her Bible to the baby Jesus as he lay in his crib. **Pretty sweet.
When she was setting this scene up she said,"Mom, me and you could be Mary. You get one of your dane-kets (blankets). And dad and Cohl will be Joe-seps and we could have our Baby Jesus." As she gazes into the crib. "It will be so fun!"

"Hi Jenna, I'm Mary."

This morning Kirra, once again dressed the part, says to me," Mom you say hi to me...I'm Mary."

Ready-Set-Go

The kids wanted to play basketball at the gym here at FPU. So with it being really cold that night we bundled them up for the walk to the gym. Here they are posing for their outing.

Yes it was night-time and Kirra had to wear her Cinderella dress and sunglasses.

What a crowd

We had Jenna's baby dedication at The Well Community Church on Thanksgiving weekend. We were blessed to have so many family and friends to celebrate with us!

Thankful for cousins

We got to see Trinity and off course Todd and Lisa for Thanksgiving. Here is Kirra playing with the large stuffed dog at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Here is Trinity (16 months) with the babydoll.

Here is our best attempt to get the kids all in one picture. We'll keep trying. :)

5th Pumpkin Pie Bowl

The Pumpkin Pie Bowl (flag-football) turned into soccer this year. With a small turnout we integrated our smaller family members into the game. The kids had tons of fun too! Each year we have been at FPU we've played flag-football on Thanksgiving Day morning with whoever wants to join.

Growing Girl

You are supposed to be in this apparatice but Jenna likes to crawl under it. Silly girl.
Jenna has jumped into the Obwald world of shakes for breakfast. Don't worry it a Juice Plus shake. She loves the straw.

Kobe turns 3

You gotta have friends...

Kobe (3), Kirra (almost 3), Cohl (4) and James (2 1/2) at Kobe's birthday party.

1 Little 2 Little 3 Little Indians

Kirra decided to be an Indian with Cohl and we had a poncho from Dave Aston that Jenna was able to wear to complete the family of Indian children. It was lots of fun.

This is Cohl's preschool class on costume day. They were all so cute!

Cohl's favorite friend at preschool, Maiya.

Each year at FPU we Trick-or-Treat around campus to the offices. This is the kids saying "How".

Hannah and Kirra love to Trick-or-Treat together. Kirra said to Hannah,"Hannah, wanna hold hands? Let's walk together." It was too cute!

After Trick-or-Treating we went back to the Hergenrader's house and the kids got to pick a few candies. Cohl picked a sucker...oh well :) Then with Hannah all dressed like a princess Kirra wanted to join in. So she got to be Belle.

It's been FOREVER!

We are here at Fresno Pacific University, all is calm and all is bright! The students have gone home for the holiday break but we are here soaking up the cool air and quietness. Ahhhh. I will just appoligize now for the delay in updates from us. With all of students busy on the internet it has been near impossible for me to upload pictures to our blog. So this holiday WATCH OUT there will be many updates and many photos.
